trying to get some opinions on crane cams grind 668531. advertised specs are .587 lift in.&.568 ex., 304/312 duration street solid roller, anyone have any info on this cams streetablity. i asked this same ? over on moparts but haven't got much feedback. i read an article in mopar muscle were they installed this cam on a dyno and got some decent street #s. found one at a reasonable cost, bought it, and now crane says it's to big for my application. my combo is .020 over 426 with 3.75 stroke crank, alum. mp heads with no porting mp crossram with 770 holley's and 2 in headers. it's going in a 67 dart with a 727 and 4.10 dana and i haven't gotten a converter yet but would like to stay around 3000 stall. i'll be running 28 in tall tires. any info would be appreciated as i only want to do this once! thanks dave

"304/312 duration" will definetely not be "street" friendly.

If you check further the lobe seperation will most likely be way out of the "street" friendly range, for idle, also.

The cam in my 528 Hemi is a little bigger & I'm running a real loose converter but streetability really wasn't a concern. IMO, it's kinda big & I'd use a higher stall converter but if it's only a weekend "toy" car I wouldn't lose much sleep over it. I had a much bigger cam in my previous Hemi & had a blast with it. You're not going to win any off-idle races with it, but you should be fine at the track.

Being in a Dart with 4.10's use a 3500 converter. It'll be a little slugish right off the bottom but will really come on over 3500.

Street friendly or not ( it's all opinion anyway) It'll sound mean and pull hard up top. What is the LSA and were do they recommend the Intake centerline??
