Rosa Brooks, who has moved from the L.A. Times to the Pentagon, called for more "direct government support for public media" and government licensing of the news, which critics say would destroy the independent media.
Let me stress how important of an issue this really is, everyone.
We do NOT want to have the government's hands dipping into the
media. We all know how biased it is already, can you imagine if
the government is cutting them their checks? How biased do you
think they will be after that? It's a TERRIBLE situation to imagine
and we CANNOT allow such an activity to happen.

Once the 1st Amendment is gone, the others will disappear even quicker.
