Nine months into the fiscal year, the federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time ever.

Cap-and-trade and health care are still on the table, too!

One of the excellent ideas the Roman people had was to require the Senate to fund all current projects and expenditures from available funds.
If you dream something up, something reeeeally useful (like increasing everyone's electric bill by $300 a month to save the polar bears... in 2075), and there's not enough money to pay for it - you pay for it.

Good thing we're smarter now...
