We don't know what the rules will be for next year, but we're counting on them remaining as is regarding power per cid, and an 11.5:1 compression ratio. To that end, we're assembling an engine (4.015" X 3.825"). The block is honed, crank and cam are in and timed, two sets of heads have been freshened, waiting for the Ross Pistons - probably another couple of weeks away. We're going to go on the dyno and see what we would have had, and hopefully utilize that information for our 2011 effort.

We determined that the cause of our issues on the dyno this year (head gaskets, pistons) were due to an inoperative water pump.

If all goes well with the new iron block, we'll probably try one, maybe around 4.200" X 3.825".

Of course, the flavor of the new rules will have a serious impact on things. We're hoping that the rules will be very similar to the 2010 EMC, except that it will be a "carburetor vs. EFI" deal (run what you brung for induction).
