DeSoto top seller at Barrett-Jackson auction

The top dollar at Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach auction went for a 1957 De Soto Adventurer convertible, which fetched $247,500, including premium. It went for $159,000 at the Houston Classic last year, when there were still some questions about its authenticity. Apparently, the questions have been answered well enough to merit an $88,5000 jump in the car’s value. This is the second consecutive Barrett-Jackson auction where a De Soto was the top collector car: a 1956 Fireflite convertible brought $368,500 at the Scottsdale auction in January.

Beautiful correct 1957 Desoto Adventurer convertible from a museum of finned Mopar cars. Excellent restoration with recent freshening throughout. Show ready and runs like a top. Known history and no stories.
