392 hemis from 57-58 cars in 60's muscle cars

Post by matthewp »

Do you guys think people would purchase a 68 charger or challenger with a 57-58 392 hemi in it... overcourse I would redo the motor so it looks cool... Or do u think it has to be a newer create engine?

Maybe, if you think there's a market for Fast N Furious Chargers, other than that not really. Think most would rather have a 440 or other proper period engine dropped in.

Well, I did put a '55 331 in a '60 Plymouth...but a lot of people are disappointed to find 50s hemis in 50s cars instead of a 426! You might find a market for early 60s cars done as drag car clones with Chr hemis, but other than that I can't see it. But, hey it's your $s, give it a shot if you think it'll fly.
