Greetings to All
The DeSoto 330 engine differs from the Chrysler 331 in a good many areas. Although some parts are interchangeable, many are not.
Fortunately, parts are available for them. Boring one 90 over will yield a 341 and close to 300 hp with a 4bbl.
I'm no expert, but will be glad to try and answer any questions on this engine.

Hi Eric, I just had a 330 rebuilt this past winter. You will have a very hard time finding any performance parts for this engine. The best place I found for parts is www.hothemiheads.com . Bob has most of the items needed to rebuild one of these. As for head interchange, only the 330 ,341 & 345 DeSoto heads fit. You would have to have your cam reground. If you can find a 4bbl intake it would be a stock one & run about 300 bucks. A 2x 4 intake runs around 500 & are getting very hard to find. There were very few aftermarket high perf. items made for DeSoto hemi's.
I put 10:1 forged pistons, a .450 lift cam regrind ,a 4bbl intake w/600 cfm carb, headers, Mopar elec. ignition and a few other items to get 350 hp and 425-450 ft/lbs tourque. If you need anymore info let me know.
