I have come across a 4-barrel intake for a hemi, casting #B1634262-2 will this fit my 241, also looking for better flowing heads for this engine is anything interchangable with it

Your casting numbers do not match any casting numbers I have listed for any of the early hemis. I would suspect it fits a non-hemi engine maybe from the late 50's or early 60's.

The 270, 315, & 325 heads fit. 315 & 325 heads are best. The intake is for a Dodge D-500 315 Hemi, it is a raised block engine & won't fit the 241.

Thank you for the reply to my inquire -this is my first hemi project and am still learning. One last question if the 315 or 325 heads are best for this 241 (if i can find a set of either ones) since these are off a raised block engine what intake would i have to use, one off a 241 or a raised block engine? Thanks for all the advise. :D

You need one off a 241/270, or a log/twin log type. There was a OEM 4 Bl intake for the 270. If you don't have it, get Tex Smith's Hemi Book.

The 315-325 heads will not fit a 241-270. The pushrod holes are angled wrong and will not allow the pushrods to hit the lifters. The 270 heads are a slight improvement but do have hardened seats. Grind down the humps around the intake guides to make them flow like the 325 heads.

The 241 heads don't work on a 315-325, haven't heard of a problem the other way around.

315 heads on low deck engine.

I run 315 heads on my 270 with no problems. I even run Isky adjustable pushrods which are a little larger in diameter than stock ones , and I have no clearance issues.
