Hello..What is the correct way to install the tubes with the spark plugs..

Hello..I have a 1935 Tudor Ford Slant back Sedan...My hobbies are Stromberg 97s and intakes manifolds..

Put the outside seal on, put the tube in place, screw in the spark plug. The plugs are supposed to go in w/o the little washer that comes on it.

Yes, The tube acts as the washer!

They won't stick as far into the chamber as they are supposed to, not sure if it would cause any other problems. It is in the shop manuals, by the way.
