341 in a 68' Fury III

Post by 341fury »

Im planning on putting a 341 desoto hemi in my 68 fury iii, the engine build has already began. My main concern is the oil pan. The original 318 that sits in the car now has the bump for the oil pump up front. Which i will have to maintain when putting the hemi in. Its clear to me that im going to fabricate my own oil pan. What i would like to know is if anyone has a 341 how far does the oil pump stick out from the bottom of the block. Since my engine wont be finished for a while i cant measure mine.
If theres an alternative way of doing this, i would appreciate any help. Thank you

If the 341 is already apart, can't you just measure the pump?Am unclear exactly what you mean.
