AARP ‘Cuda: A 1000HP Blown HEMI Fountain Of Youth

There’s something to be said for “aging gracefully.” Then there’s those who tell Mother Nature and Father Time to go pound sand and do everything in their power to fight against the clock. While no Juan Ponce de León, the good car crafters over at Kustom Creations may have found a “work around” for the fountain of youth. Captured by the folks over at Autoholics, this ’72 ‘Cuda – aptly retitled the AARP ‘Cuda – is one clean machine.

While the AAR ‘Cuda was a 1970-only performance package, a package designed for Trans Am and SCCA racing to boot, this revised E-Body is really quite the opposite.

It’s uproarious 1000hp blown fuel-injected big cube HEMI ensures that – if anything – it won’t be taking to the road course anytime soon.

Nonetheless, the ‘Cuda does a good job of resembling ’70 AAR ‘Cuda, in almost perfect J5 Limelight Green (one of the high-impact colors that mother Mopar created for her muscle cars during early ’70s), shoulder-line strobe stripe ending in a customized “AARP” logo instead of the original “AAR,” and blacked out AAR fiberglass hood (which would work if there wasn’t a two foot tower of power jutting out of it).

Oh yeah, don’t forget the factory-looking Rallye wheels, the rears obviously opened and stretched to accommodate the Pro-Street “fat and skinny” tire selection.
Wow! :o
