Pink Hemi Engine Dynoes 802 HP [Video]

While reporting about the awful Hello Kitty-themed Chevrolet Camaro yesterday, we remembered the crazy Moulin Rouge and Panther Pink hues Dodge and Plymouth used to offer on a number of musclecars in the 1960s and 1970s.

Getting a pink Hemi-powered Plymouth Cuda or Dodge Charger was easy as pie back then because you had these factory paint options, but the pink-related stuff you could add to a Mopar stopped there. Why are we talking about pink musclecars again you ask? Well, we just stumbled across a... hang on... pink Hemi V8 powerplant that dynoes 802 crazy horses.

As you might have already guessed, it’s no factory engine, but an all-alloy mill built by Dave Cisecki of Strategic Machining in Alberta, Canada. The huge 511 cubic inch (8.3-liter) heart is set to go into a 1969 Dodge Charger owned by an enthusiast who “likes the contrast between the black car and the florescent pink”.

You can head over to Engine Labs to find out more about this crazy engine or just scroll below to see it in action on the dyno.
I'm not sure this is the color that I would choose.
