To see more photos: http://www.thehemi.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=5091Even as the news and pricing of the 2011 Chrysler 300 are coming out, the old model isn’t gone yet! With the latest tuning project from O.CT Tuning done on the Chrysler 300C Hemi SRT-8 it shows what the older guy on the scene can still do! They have done something what most of us wouldn’t consider needed. They’ve put a compressor on this 6.1L HEMI SRT-8 and extracted monstrous power from this amazing engine!
With their skillful interventions into the motor control unit, which was adapted to the installation of the compressor kit which includes an intercooler, it was possible to get fantastic 550hp and 682 Nm (503 ft-lb) from the 6.1 liter Hemi. What have they accomplished? The forward motion now starts with a jolt to the back when you get stuck on your leather seats, all of that courtesy of the 6.1L Hemi now!
Somehow it’s needless to say that the noise coming from those quad stainless steel exhaust pipes is just awesome! And yeah, we mean Barney Stinson awesomeness levels here. Imagine the compressor powered displacement of this big engine, with no sound interruptions coming from a turbocharger in the way. With that specific compressor whinding sound, we can only call it dirty in every way.
The car is painted in a flat black color, with 22″ O.CT wheels adding to the flavor of this tune up project. Also the original AMI-suspension was removed in place to a KW coilover suspension, making the car sit lower to the ground, as well as adding more cornering performance at the same time.
