Rezvani Tank is the modern Wrangler that Jeep won't build

There’s an all-new Jeep Wrangler on the way later this year that’s expected to look a lot like the old one.

For those of you who’d prefer something with a more modern style, California-based car builder Rezvani has a futuristic take on the Wrangler…that’s based on the old one.

The Tank is a rebodied Wrangler that looks like something out of a SciFi video game, with bulging bodywork and power-operated rear-opening rear doors. Its performance has also been enhanced with a 500 hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and its interior thoroughly reupholstered and re-trimmed.

Rezvani added a few high tech features, too, including a head-up display, a thermal imaging camera, an LED light bar integrated into the roof and available bulletproof glass and Kevlar body armor.

The starting price for standing out is $178,000, but Rezvani has plans to add additional powertrain choices in the future. The first builds are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

The Tank isn’t the first or only tactical-style custom Wrangler available these days. The US Specialty Vehicles Rhino XT had a role in the blockbuster movie “The Fate of the Furious,” and can be had with a 707 hp Dodge Hellcat V8 engine for $157,000.
I'm not sure what to think about this rig. :o

Demon-Powered 2020 Rezvani Tank X Has 1,000 Horsepower And An Armored Hide
https://www.hotcars.com/demon-powered-2 ... orsepower/
The 2020 Rezvani Tank X is indeed powered by a Demon’s engine that’s been rated to 1,000 horsepower.

Remember those rumors from a few months back about the new Rezvani Tank swapping out its Hellcat engine for a Demon engine? Well, it happened. The Hellcat engine is gone, and in its place, the 6.2-L supercharged HEMI V8 from the Demon has arrived. But instead of the 840 horsepower as found on the Demon, the Tank gets a full 1,000 horsepower, making it the most powerful production SUV in the world.

Not bad for what is essentially an armored Wrangler.

The 2020 model also gets an all-new exterior with more streamlined panels than the 2019 model. On top of that, a refined suspension and even more protection are all available for 2020.

"The focus of this generation’s Tank was to be athletic in design and stance, have a refined sports car ride and suspension, have a luxurious interior, and surpass 1,000 horsepower all in a car that’s easily a daily driver," said CEO Ferris Rezvani in a press release.

Starting with the suspension, which was designed in partnership with FOX racing, the previous year's shocks have been redesigned for greater comfort without sacrificing anything in terms of performance. Optional FOX racing 3.0 internal bypass shocks with DSC will enhance that comfort to the nth degree.

A quad pack of 37-inch off-road tires are paired with a pair of Dynatrac axles with air lockers and an air compressor for traveling on any kind of terrain. Dynatrac ProGrip front and rear brakes ensure the Tank can stop as fast as it can go.

The Tank's interior is fully customizable and comes with a 7.9-inch infotainment system with a full suite of apps, including Google Maps, Pandora, Stitcher, and Apple CarPlay.

But the real selling point on the Tank is the Military Edition, which comes with all the cool defense-oriented toys. FLIR night vision, ballistic armoring, bulletproof glass, run-flat tires, underside armor for IEDs, a self-sealing fuel tank are all available, and new for 2020 is EMP protection for E1, E2, E3 electromagnetic pulses.

Other options include reinforced bumpers, electrified door handles, sirens and strobe lights, continuous video surveillance cameras, gas masks, and smoke canister dispensers.

The 2020 Tank starts at $155,000, but that just gets you a 2.0-L turbo 4-cylinder with 285 horsepower. The Tank X with its Demon engine starts at $349,000, while the Military Edition starts at $295,000. Orders are available now, deliveries expected later this year.
So who's going to be ordering themselves a new Tank next year? :o
