I see a Hemi powered Air Raid Siren on Ebay that was
supposedly made by American Blower Company. The
seller could not provide me with any more information.
(They just want to get rid of the thing, I guess.)

Does anyone have info on American Blower Company?
I would love to hear more about them, and maybe dig up
more details on other possible industrial Hemi uses.

I wrote the seller and asked that my information be
passed to the buyer, so that I might further inquire
about the Hemi engine powering that beast. I have
no idea if she (it was a woman who wrote back) will
pass along my info or not.

American Blower Company Air Raid Siren - NOT !

This is not an uncommon mistake. Actually that would be a Chrysler Air Raid Siren.

The giant three-stage blower and projector horns were custom built by American Blower exclusively for Chrysler. The center (left & right) projector horn castings sport raised lettering that reads, "American Blower." As a result a few folks have thought that it was an American Blower product.

Most importantly, of course, the air raid siren is direct drive powered by a 331 CID Hemi (IND. 20A-481 or IND. 20A-480).
