Help Identify Marine HEMIs
Anyone have any leads on identifying these HEMIs?
I assume they're early HEMIs? Although I thought
the distributors would be out back? Unless this pic
actually is the back of the motors. And it seems as
if they're using throttle body injection, does it not?

They look like early marine hemis to me. In a marine application, the engine is "backwards" from an automotive application. Hence the distributor in the "front". Same basic block, just used differently from what us car guys are used to......
41 Chevy with blown 330 Desoto / 32 Ford coupe with blown 392 Chrysler
It's been suggested they're using a Holley FI system.
I'm trying to get the owner to check for the serial #s.

M45 series Chrysler Marine engines with fresh water cooling and after market fuel system. Exhaust system is dead giveaway. Probably in a Matthews, ChrisCraft or Sheppard cruiser.scottm wrote:It's been suggested they're using a Holley FI system.
