Bill "Maverick" Golden to unveil restoration of his 64 lightweight Dodge 426 at MATS

Maverick raced two cars in 1964. The season started with a 64 light weight Dodge 426 Max-Wedge, in June Maverick received the Hemi car and finished the season. He then took procession of the Little Red at the end of 64 and begin exhibition runs with the wheelie truck and the rest, as they say, is history.

Larry Shepard of Ohio built the engine and transmission (which is a correct 1964 hemi transmission), Many parts are from Kramer in Penn, Hemi Eddie in Wis, bright work is from Bill Petro at Special Ts in Chicago, the body and paint is by Premier Auto in Buffalo, Mo (same guys who did Jim McCauley's black Daytona you mentioned) and technical support from Jim Schild. The 64 is owned by Doctor Terry Winkler, Guest appearance by Bill "Maverick " Golden at 2011 MATS-The Moparty at the Strip. Restored Car will be unveiled at this years event.
