Hemi Headlights

Well here is my question, I have a 2003 Hemi Ram 4x4 and at night when I cut off the Headlights sometimes they stay on for 30 secounds and sometimes they go off right then, what controls this and what can I do to make them do the same each time. I have found no switch for these so I dont know what to do.

if the truck is On, they will turn off right away, If you turn the truck off, then the lights off, the delay will kick in, and wait.

At night, before turning off the engine, turnoff the lights then turn off the engine.

This is a security feature for the truck line.

I think it happens with the tranny then power off.. maybe it's me?? But I drive with my lights on all them time, pull into work, put it in park, turn off engine, then turn off lights, lights will stay on..

ON THE OTHER hand, when I pull into work turn the lights off first, then put it in park and turn off engine the lights stay off.

Also if you leave the lights on by mistake the will shut down as not to drain your battery. reseting after turning them back off and then on again. I know left mine on
