Just a warning for those of us with 03 Dodge Rams (Hemi or not).
If you have the big aluminum wheels you should have your dealer check the lugs. It seems the assembly line wasn't aware that the required torque on these wheels is 125 lbs. and they were just using an impact wrench to install them, which can cause the front brake rotors to warp in just a few thousand miles. My local dealer has replaced at least a dozen sets of front rotors on 03 trucks for that very reason. The rotors on my Hemi started to warp at 3000 miles and by 3800 it was so bad I had to take it in. Rotors were replaced under warrantee and all is well with the correct torque on the wheels.

I had already taken my truck in for this by about 6000 miles, and the dealership I went to (not the one where I bought the truck) just resurfaced the rotors.
By the time I hit 11,000 miles, the hopping and shaking returned. I've been on the phone with that dealership about the problem. I mentioned what I'd read here about the problem. They agreed that they should replace the rotors this time and ordered the replacements before setting up an appointment. I had to cancel the first appointement, but when I called yesterday to schedule again, they said that they just found a new TSB on this problem that calls for replacing the calipers and pads in addition to the rotors. Now I have to wait for new calipers to come in (this is a really small dealership). It turns out that they're backordered, so I don't know how long I'll have to put up with the hopping and shaking.
Maybe some of you who had this problem fixed with the rotor replacement would be interested in trying to get the new calipers that DC says you're supposed to get...

Hey guys i have a problem i called up my dealer and unfortunatly i have over 12000 miles on my truck and they wont cover the replacement of my rotors they wont even take them down without it costing me. So what i have done was i called Motor vehicle and filed a complaint they said if enough people will call and complain it could turn into a recall because it is dangerous and could cause an accident.
