5.7L Hemi Dyno

Post by scottm »

Here are some numbers that I have heard:

264 rwhp and 314 rwtq (with 3000 miles)

Has anyone else dyno tested their new Hemi?

I have seen as high as 288 mentioned, but I understand there is difficulty in getting a good dyno. the speed limiter kicks in at 5400 rpm in 3rd gear (108 mph).

That is a good point. The dyno graphs that I have
seen show a peak HP reading around 4400, and it
is claimed by Dodge the peak HP sits around 5400.
So the 260-rwhp numbers are not yet at the peak.

The Kenne Bell hemi ram pulled 281 rwhp before mods.

It says that at the bottom of that page.

Do you have a 1500 automatic version? You may run into some trouble when the speed limiter kicks in early. Many owners were complaining of only 240-250 at the wheel. When it should be around 280ish.

Any numbers?

I found out the hard way on the first dyno run of the Dakota 4.7 with beta runs with mods when the speed limiter kicked in at 97MPH.
